Hello to all the followers of this humble DX blog.
You’ve probably noticed that I’ve been a bit less active lately. Nothing to worry about, the reason is that our new house is nearing completion. So there are a lot of other activities that keep me busy.
The good news is that I’m getting a fantastic shack—hopefully in a QRM-free location as it is pretty rural. The first coax cables are already waiting for me 😉.

I got my BASE ham operator licence a few weeks ago. LX7JOE only allowed to transmit on 10m 2 m and 70 cm from the Luxembourgish territory. Still need to get a good hand-held transceiver as my Baofeng GT3 is not really good at all. Just good enough to communicate with my jury colleagues at cycling races on 157,610 MHz.

It will be interesting to see how reception conditions will be here. Just started to get my first antenna active which will be on the attic (indoor). Outdoor antenna cables have not been routed to their junction box, that will take another few weeks.
Congratulations on acquiring you operator licence. When I retired I bought myself the course manual just in case I got bored with DX. Sofar I haven’t been bored and I also didn’t have the time. But who knows what future will bring.
